50th Anniversary - Rex and Maudie Harper

Former Daviess County residents Rex and Maudie Harper of Gary will celebrate their 50th anniversary at the Harper reunion in Odon on Sunday. They were married June 7, 1957, by Rev. Copehart. Their witnesses were Junior Canady and his sister, Sally Canady.

Mr. Harper’s parents were Jim and Dovie (Franklin) Harper. Mrs. Harper’s parents were Gerry and Wilma (Andis) Summers.

The Harpers’ children and their spouses are Nancy and Alan Brazitis of Highland, Rex Jr. and Sherry Harper of Demotte, Kevin and Betty Harper of Portage and Samuel and Kim Harper, Gilbert and Pauline Harper, Doug Harper, Roxanna Harper and Joanna and Steve Hilliker, all of Gary. One child, Richard, is deceased.

They have 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
