thanks to Terra McDavid for the following information and photos

 Admant Baptist Church

The original church and building that was founded in 1900 by William M Cooper, burned in 1901.

In 1938 the stone building pictured here was commenced.  In 1979, ground breaking began for a new sanctuary, the work began in January of 1980. The first services in the new and now present sanctuary shown here, was on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1980.  Admant was and still is considered a focal point for the community of Stone Creek, for all us who grew up in the church and watch our children now do the same, it is a definite family tradition.

Second picture is dinner on the ground at Admant circa 1921 to 1923.
I have placed a red mark over Andrew Russell Carter in the picture.

This is the Bible that William Cooper preached from:

(If you look carefully you can see the intials W M Cooper. The embossing has completely faded. This bible was given to his son George, who passed it to his daughter, Lillian Cooper Parsons, and to her daughter Charlotte Parsons Parks Cooper.)

The following inscription reads:

"This book belongs to Charlotte Parsons given by her mother Lillian (Cooper) Parsons.
First belonged to Charlotte's Great Granddad. W. M. Cooper. Then to her Granddad George A Cooper. Then to her mother.
May it always be a blessing unto whoever reads it."
