Benjamin Franklin Trout

Benjamin Franklin Trout was born September 16, 1932 in Kinderpost, Missouri to the late Lee and Artie (Snow) Trout. He passed away peacefully at his home, May 3, 2012.

He gave his life to the Lord at the Licking Assembly of God in 1954.

Ben was united in marriage to Velma (McIntyre) Trout on September 3, 1955 in Sherrill, Missouri. To this union four children were born, which were raised in Sherrill, Missouri just outside of Licking.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lee; mother, Artie; daughter, Teresa Ann; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ethel Trout; and sister and brother-in-law, Gertie and Lawrence Mathis.

Ben worked most of his adult life as a laborer at and around Fort Leonard Wood. He retired from Sherrill Township after 12 years of service.

 He enjoyed gigging, camping, farming, and anything outdoors.

He was a great father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved spending time with his loved ones and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife Velma of Licking, Missouri; daughter, Janie Trout of Licking, Missouri; sons, Kenny and wife Teri Trout of Licking, Missouri, Roger and wife Sharon Trout of Bay, Missouri; grandchildren, "Lj" and wife Holly Cooper, Justin Cooper, Chad and wife Jennifer Cooper, Melanie and husband Weston Scavone all of Licking, Missouri, Whitney Trout and fiancé Ed Bonebrake of Flat, Missouri, Ashley Trout, and Josh Rhoades of Linn, Missouri; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Dakota, Padrik, Adranna, Alyssa, and Dayllyn Cooper, Titus and Roman Scavone, and Benten Bell; brother, Jerry and wife Betty Trout of Beulah, Missouri, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other family of Missouri and California.
