1) Parents of James Harrison Cannady: Daniel Cannady (c. 1794 NC-c. 1851-1860) and Fanny ____ (c. 1811 probably TN-after 1870 probably Martin Co, IN; Fannie's name was noted in the "History of Martin County"; Daniel and Fannie possibly married c. 05 Oct 1842 in or around Martin Co, IN.  A license was issued for Daniel and Fanny in Martin Co, IN, but we have not found a record for the marriage.; Fannie married (1) to ____ Henry, who probably died c. 1840-1841; Fanny and Henry had children Hugh Henry (born c. 1834), John Henry (born c. 1836), Juliann Henry (born c. 1841) and William Henry (born c. 1841).

2) We have a copy of James and Amanda Bowman's marriage license.

3) James Harrison served in the Civil War. He was in Company I, 91st Indiana Regiment Infantry. He enlisted on 09 Feb 1864, and served until 16 Jun 1865. Discharge papers pension application papers;

4) We have a copy of James and Amanda Gee's marriage license.

5) Wife (2) of James Harrison Cannady: Amanda Gee - born 07 Oct 1859 Martin Co, IN; died 23 Feb 1923 Washington Twp, Greene, IN; cause of death: apoplexy or brain hemorrhage; death certificate; buried Marco Cemetery, Marco, Greene, IN; tombstone photo; daughter of George Washington Gee (20 Jan 1820-31 Dec 1900) and Elizabeth Brown (11 Jul 1824-04 Feb 1906); George and Amanda buried Burns City Cemetery, Burns City, Martin, IN - tombstone photo.

6) We have two obituaries and death certificates for James Harrison Cannady.  Cause of death: bronchial pneumonia with senility as a contributing factor.
