Dorothy Helen Andis was born May 23, 1933 in Gore,
OK to Waymon Anderson & Becky Jane (Hunter)
Anderson. She married the love of her life,
Wilburn R. Andis on September 25, 1948 in Van
Buren, AR. They resided and raised their five
children in Muskogee OK.

Dorothy boarded the old ship of Zion as Captain
Jesus brought the ship to dock on Wednesday, March
18, 2009. She was at home with her family and
friends. She had been a member of Fort Gibson
Pentecostal Church of God for several years and
currently a member of Abiding Life Fellowship.
She was a devout Christian who loved talking to
her Savior and reading his word.

Dorothy worked for several years out of her home
as a day care provider before going to work at
Love & Care Nursery, and as a Health Care Provider
for several years before retiring. She was an
avid bird watcher and collector of anything bird
related. She loved attending church and listening
to gospel music. She loved working on her flower
garden when spring time arrived, but the thing she
loved to do the most was be with her grand babies
and wait for them to get home off the school bus.
She loved going on vacation, to the ocean,
visiting Graceland, and many other trips with her
son, David and his family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving
husband, Wilburn R. Andis, her granddaughter,
Becky Hall and her great grandson, Shane Newberry,
her parents, two sisters, Francis and Helen, and
three brothers, Arie, Jerry, and Haskell..

Dorothy is survived by her son, David Andis &
wife, Lynn, grandsons, Jordan, Hayden, and Austin
Andis of the home; son, Russell Andis, grandson,
Christian; daughter, Linda Henson, granddaughters,
Michelle and Patricia, grandson, James; daughter,
Carol & husband, Gerald Hall, granddaughters,
Carolyn and Chrissy, grandson, Gerald (Gator);
daughter, Donna & husband, Billy Weston,
granddaughters, Angela and Samantha, and numerous
great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren,
all of Muskogee. Also a host of extended family
and dear friends.

Ford officiating on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Muskogee OK. Pallbearers are, Clint Gross, Jimmie Hughes, Shawn Collier, Mike Wiseman, Tim Frost and Randall Jaquez.The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
