DANTE, VIRGINIA - Christina Faye Sproles Ervin, 69, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 26, 2008 in Wellmont-Mountainview Regional Medical Center, Norton, Virginia.
                                        
She was born in Dante, Virginia; daughter of the late Thurman and Mary Casteel Sproles. She was a member of Straight Hollow Freewill Baptist Church, Dante, Virginia.
 
She is survived by her husband of Fifty years, Fred Lee Ervin; one son, Larry Shane Ervin and wife, Stephanie of Elgin, South Carolina; two sisters, Mary Ruth Sproles of Dante, Virginia and Shirley Ann Sproles of Dante, Viginia; three grandchildren, Hunter Ervin, Tayler Ervin and Madison Ervin of Elgin, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
                                             
Funeral Services for Christina Faye Sproles Ervin will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, in the Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Jim Pratt, Rev. Leonard Ferguson, and Rev. Mike Patrick officiating. Committal Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be Wade Holbrook, Jeff Ervin, Wayne Ervin, Richard Ervin, Jeff Pratt, and Kenneth Gullett.
 
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia. Castlewood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
