Obituary - Amanda (Patterson) Trowbridge

AMANDA ELIZABETH PATTERSON TROWBRIDGE FUSON, daughter of Rufus and Mary Reynolds Patterson, was born November 29, 1865 in Knox Co., KY and died June 9, 1947 in Wakefield, Richland Co., IL at age 81 years, six months and 10 days.

She was united in marriage on December 3, 1884 in Job Pixley, Clay Co., IL to Calvin Trowbridge, who proceded her in death in 1901, his burial at North Freedom Cemetery, Noble, IL. He was the son of Ebenezer and Lucinda Noel Trowbridge. To this union was born seven children of which four preceded Amanda in death: Lewis Evart, Mary Edna, Roy Rufus and Jessie Fern Trowbridge Hundley.

She was later united in marriage to Rev. John Henry Fuson on May 15, 1910, son of William and Abigill Lemon Fuson. They were married by Jasper N. Dalby, Minister of the Gospel, Preston Township, Richland Co., IL. John Henry Fuson was born October 7, 1862 and died March 22, 1948, burial in Wakefield Cemetery, Wakefield, IL.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, John Henry Fuson, of Wakefield, three sons, Rolla Cassius Trowbridge of Solsberry, Ind., Harvey Ernest Trowbridge of Lincoln, Ill., and Charles Ivan Trowbridge of Champaign, Ill. Also nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Five brothers, Thomas and Ora Patterson of Decatur, Ed Patterson of Parkersburg, Frank Patterson of Rock Fall, and Elza Patterson of Urbana. and one sister Mrs. Edith Patterson Mooney of Chicago.

In addition there are hosts of other relatives and many friends.
