Avanell Stewart

Avanell Stewart, age 69, of Franklin, North Carolina entered into rest on Saturday, August 6, 2005. A native of Judsonia, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Lomey Chumley and Bertha Helton Chumley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Free and her twin sister, Annabell Bunch. She was an active member of Franklin Church of Christ.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jake Stewart; 5 children, Theresa Vandegrifft and husband Joe of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Debbie Cramer and husband Mark of Ruston, La., Sandy Patten and husband Benny of Franklin, NC, Jacob Stewart II and wife Darlene of Searcy, Ark., James Stewart of Ft. Pierce, Fla. and grandchild, Adam Stewart of Franklin, NC; one sister, Odessa Wiggs of Judsonia, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 9th, at Franklin Church of Christ in Franklin, NC. Brother Radford Penland and Brother Mark Sparks officiated the service. Jim Sexton led the singing.
