Bobbie Jo (Roach) Jones Is Killed
In Accident Mon.; Funeral Set On
Fri., Sept. 24th, In Vincennes

Bobbie J. (Roach) Jones, age 39, of Odon, was killed in a one-vehicle auto accident at 12:07 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2010, around 1.3 miles North of Loogootee. The accident was on Highway 231 at Abel Lane. She was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado Southbound when her vehicle left the West side of the roadway. The vehicle became airbourne and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Martin County Coroner Mark Franklin. The investigating officer was Martin County Deputy Sheriff Steven D. Nolan. She was born in Vincennes to Dale Roach and the late Sherron Kay (Andis) Roach. She was a graduate of Shoals High School and Vincennes University. She is survived by two daughters, Kendall Kay and Sidney Elizabeth Jones, both at home; her father and step-mother, Dale and Ramona Roach, of Bloomfield; a sister, Amanda Kay Tharp, of Shoals; grandparents Herbert G. and Loretta Roach, of Odon, and Sam Andis, of Vincennes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24th, at 11 a.m., in the Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, at 505 Main Street, in Vincennes. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit and share memories with the family on Thursday, September 23rd, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Bobbie Jo (Roach) Jones, 39, of Odon, passed away Monday September 20, 2010 as a result of an auto accident on Hwy 231 north of Loogootee.
Bobbie was born August 16, 1971 in Vincennes, the daughter of Dale Roach and the late Sherron Kay (Andis) Roach.
Bobbie attended Riley Elementary School in Vincennes, graduated from Shoals High School and received her Associates Degree in medical records from Vincennes University. She was currently enrolled at Vincennes University Jasper Campus to earn her LPN degree. She was employed at Dubois County Medical Center and had worked at both the Jasper and Loogootee offices. She was a member of the Order of Easter Star, Chapter #341 in Odon.
Bobbie was a loving and devoted mother to her two girls, Kendall Kay and Sidney Elizabeth Jones both at home.
She is also survived by her father and step-mother, Dale and Ramona Roach of Bloomfield, a sister, Amanda Kay Tharp of Shoals, grandparents, Herbert G. and Loretta M. Roach of Odon and Sam Andis of Vincennes, aunts and uncles, Mike and Sylvia Andis of Jasper, Mike and Susie Roach of Odon and Tim And Debbie Gunnoe of Montgomery, AL. Bobbie was preceded in death by her mother, Sherron Kay (Andis) Roach in 2005 and her grandmother, Dorothy Andis.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home 505 Main Street Vincennes, IN with the Rev. Kris Beasley officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit and share memories of Bobbie with the family on Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
