Obituary - Clarence Olen Head

OGERSVILLE -- Clarence Olen Head, age 77, Rogersville, died Tuesday,
Oct. 24, 2000, at Wellmont Hawkins County Memorial Hospital following
an extended illness.
He was owner of Head’s Carpet and was a member of Rogersville
Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force,
having served during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Connie Manis
Head; three brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Loette Eula Hungerford Head of the home;
a son, Paul David Head and wife Kim, Krum, TX; a grandson, Colton
Head, Krum; a sister, Mossie Mellons, Church Hill; two brothers,
Everett Head, Kingsport, and Earl Head, Center, AL; and several
nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at Broome
Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at
Highland Cemetery with Dr. David L. Hale officiating. Pallbearers
will be Barry North, Eddie Price, Joe Byrd, Tom Herron, Jimmy
Hungerford and Ron Head.
