C. J. Stimson
C. J. Stimson of clarksville died suddenly at his home Sunday morning at three
o'clock, after an illness of only about a week. He had taken sick at Columbia,
where he was employed, and had been brought to his home by his son, Lawrence
Stimson, a few days ago.
Funeral services were held this morning at 10:30 at the Methodist church, with
the pastor, the Rev. Mathes, officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Stimson leaves his wife, two daughters, Miss June Stimson and Mrs. Charles
Pledge, and two sons, Lawrence and Claud Stimson. His mother resides in
Nebraska, She was not able to attend the services.
