LINTON — Darla Nanette (Layton) Horne, 42, Linton, passed away Jan. 4, 2007, at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis. 
She was born June 15, 1964, in Anderson, the daughter of Francis “Butch” and Wilma “Wink” (Andis) Layton. She attended Indiana Business College at which she obtained a degree in business administration network technology and was currently working on her second degree in human resources. She was employed with Acceptance Insurance in Bloomington.

LINTON — Darla Nanette (Layton) Horne, 42, Linton, passed away Jan. 4, 2007, at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born June 15, 1964, in Anderson, the daughter of Francis “Butch” and Wilma “Wink” (Andis) Layton. She attended Indiana Business College at which she obtained a degree in business administration network technology and was currently working on her second degree in human resources. She was employed with Acceptance Insurance in Bloomington.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Wilma “Wink” (Andis) and Albert Dowdy of Bloomfield; a brother, Darin Layton of Ormond Beach, Fla.; two stepbrothers, Ron Dowdy of Indianapolis and Gregg (wife, Dianna) Dowdy of Indianapolis; stepsister, Cindy (husband, Grant) Riggins of Bloomfield; paternal grandfather, Lester Layton of Anderson; a niece, Rachel Layton; several step-nieces and nephews; special friend, John (T) Evans of Coalmont; and former husband, Kelly Horne of Linton.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. John Booker and Grant Riggins officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today and until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home.
