Darold W. Booher

BRISTOL, Va. - Darold Wayne Booher, age 79, 19186 Benhams Rd., went to be with the Lord in the Bristol Regional Medical Center Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003.

He was a native and life-long resident of Benhams and was the son of late R.C. Booher and Bonnie E. Worley Booher. Mr. Booher was retired employee from Raytheon and a member of Three Springs United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory A.Booher, and a brother, Bobby Booher. He was also a member of Valley Masonic Lodge 95, Bell Walsh Chapter 65 of the Eastern Star. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.

Survivors include wife, Clara E. McCroskey Booher; sons, Randy Booher and SteveBooher; granddaughter, Kim Booher; sisters, Janet Farmer and husband Marvin, Betty Smith and husband J.R. "Bob" Smith and Shirley Leonard and Dorothy Couch; brother, Buford Booher and wife Barbara, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-7:45 p.m. Thursday at Weaver Funeral Home. Masonic service will be conducted 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel and a funeral service will follow. Rev. Lester Mackinnon and Rev. Scott Price will officiate. Committal services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at the Mountain View Cemetery, with military honors conducted by Highlands Fellowship Veterans Honor Color Guard. Pallbearers will be Larry Leonard, Harold McCroskey, Gary Baker, Dackie Pippin, Kevin Farmer, Jim Gunter, Ron Gatton and Bret Booher. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Stewart, Roy Richardson, James Davis, Lloyd Hashbarger, Dan Reed and members of Valley Masonic Lodge.
