Doris Goodman - PINEY FLATS
Doris Ann Goodman, 62, of 204 Piney Avenue, Piney Flats, died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at her residence following an illness.

She was a native of Sullivan County, lived most of her life in Piney Flats, and was a daughter of the late Arnold H. and Lucille Malone Kaylor. Doris was a member of the Piney Flats First Baptist Church where she was a charter member and the treasurer for 25 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, doting on her grandchildren and helped many different charities in various behind the scenes ways.

Survivors include: her husband, Euell D. Goodman of the home; two sons, Sean W. Goodman and wife, Lisa of Knoxville and Kenneth B. Goodman and wife, Amy of Greenville, SC; a brother, Earl Kaylor and wife, Mary and a sister, Nancy Feathers, all of Piney Flats; five grandchildren, Megan, Wesley, Caden, Connor and Mia Goodman; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service is scheduled at the Morning View Cemetery, Bluff City, for Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Dr. Allen Davis and Rev. Reed Mullins. There will be no public visitation. Active pallbearers will be: the Active Deacons at the Piney Flats First Baptist Church and honorary pallbearers will be: the Inactive Deacons at the Piney Flats First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in the form of contributions to the Piney Flats First Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Cherry Street, Piney Flats, TN 37686.
