Elizabeth A. Andis, 95, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Waldron Health Care Home, in Waldron.

Born July 31, 1910, in Harlan County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Jack and Annie Ellen (Dixon) Harmon. She married Herbert H. Andis on Oct. 10, 1925, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Pike and Brinda (husband, David) Watkins, both of Shelbyville; one sister, Mae Elliott of Shelbyville; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by five sons, James E. Andis, George E. Andis, Glen D. Andis, Steven J. Andis and Bobbie D. Andis; one daughter, Janet S. Richardson; one sister, Cleo Pendleton; and one brother, Tom Harmon.

Mrs. Andis was a lifelong Shelbyville resident.  She had been a factory worker with TRW Cinch for 25 years, retiring in 1976.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Dodd officiating.
