Ervin Pucklewald

Ervin Charles Puckelwald, 77 of 401 Hairston St., Martinsville died Friday afternoon at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.

Born in Tonawanda, N. Y. on May 25, 1906, he attend school there and went to work for the DuPont Company in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1932. He came to Martinsville in 1956 to work at the local DuPont Company, where he retired in 1967.

Puckelwald was a life member of B. P. O. E. Lodge No. 860 in Tonawanda; a member of the First United Methodist Church, and Roses Coffee Club in Martinsville.

His parents were the late William Puckelwald and Luise Leidenfrost Puckelwald.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Lee Garrett Puckelwald of the home; a daughter and son-in-law , Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. (Gretchen) Bondurant, Jr. of Alexandria; two grandsons, S. Lane Bondurant, a student at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg, and Matthew R. Bondurant of Alexandria; and a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Bondurant of Alexandria.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today at McKee Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Lee H. Beville and the Rev. Edward Hopkins will officiate. The family will receive friends following the memorial.
Burial will be in Buffalo Burial Park, Tonawanda, N. Y.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Salvation Army, Martinsville-Henry County Rescue Squad or First United Methodist Church.
