Esther Lucile Mink

Esther Lucile Mink, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Todd-Aikens Health Center in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin and a former longtime resident of Bloomington.

She was born Dec. 27, 1915, in Indianapolis. Her parents were Harvey Thompson and Lou Ellen (Richardson) Mink. Survivors include a nephew, Eugene E. Anderson of Delaware, Ohio; a niece, Irene F. Stevens of Columbus, Ohio; a cousin, Sarah Williamson of Franklin; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

She was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus, Ohio.

She was a secretary and records clerk at Bloomington Hospital from 1942 to 1953 and a secretary and audio-visual director at South Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church in Bloomington from 1956 until her retirement in 1979.

She was a member of First Church of God in Bloomington and attended Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin.

Dr. W. Ted Murphy will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Wright Memorial Chapel at Franklin United Methodist Community. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood. Arrangements are being handled by Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home in Franklin.
