Ivis B. Walls
Ivis B. Walls, 83, Monrovia, died January 7, 2010, in Miller’s Merry Manor.
Mrs. Walls was born October 27, 1926, in Martin County, Indiana, the daughter of
the late Burrel and Goldie (Andis) Webster.
Mrs. Walls worked for the State of Indiana for more than 19 years, retiring
in 1999. She had also worked with her late husband at Walls Body Shop. She loved
being with her grandchildren, especially attending their sporting events.
She married Garriel E. Walls on November 25, 1944; he preceded her in death
on May 9, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Adabelle Webster;
brother, Starlin Webster; grandson, Tim Wallman.
Survivors include her sons, Keith Walls (Mary) of Monrovia, Garry Walls
(Claire) of Plainfield; daughters, Linda Gray (David) of Monrovia, Joyce Witt
(Kevin) of Monrovia, and Kay Wallman (Joe) of Waverly; brothers, Robert Webster
of Odon, Darrel Webster of Washington; sister, Mabel “Cindy” Marcum of Monrovia;
14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2010, in the
Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m.,
Monday, January 11, 2010. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. Rev.
Gordon Esterline will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Gallery
