ANDIS, James Cleo - Funeral services were conducted Friday at 1:30 in the Memorial Chapel at Greenlawn Mortuary for James Cleon Andis, 63, 1100 Dorian Drive, who died in a Bakersfield hospital Dec. 26. Rev. Martin Paul officiated and interment followed in the Garden of Roses Section of Greenlawn Memorial park.

Mr. Andis was a native of Texas and had lived in Kern County for 16 years. He was a chef and had been employed at the Bakersfield Inn. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Andis was a member of the Local Union No. 550, Aerie No. 93 FOE, Chef's De Cuisine of Southern California, American Legion and the United Commercial Travelers. 

Survivors include his widow, Effie Andis, Bakersfield; one son, Robert Bridges, Bakersfield; three brothers, Ralph Andis, Ben Andis and Guy Andis, all of Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Luther McFarling, Texas, and Mrs. W. A. Fromabarger of New Mexico; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Harold Mumford, Charles Peck, Bill Hogan, Lloyd Coffman, Bob Peck, Bill Hogan, Lloyd Coffman, Bob Adams and R. E. McCune.
