James F. Hensley, 81, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - James F. (Jimbo) Hensley, passed away peacefully Tuesday (Nov. 16, 2004) at Brookhaven Manor surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 29, 1923 in Kingsport and had lived in the Kingsport and Mount Carmel area all his life.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Jim was a truck driver for 45 years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Una Hensley; and a great-grandson, Brandon Tyler Hensley.

Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Patsy Hensley; four sons, Larry Hensley and wife Helen of Fall Branch, Larry Stapleton and wife Fay of Blountville, George Stapleton and wife Sherri of Blountville and Bill Stapleton and wife Jeanie of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three daughters, Linda Stapleton of New Jersey, Sandy Andis and husband Chip of Michigan and Sharon Crotts and husband Dale of California; 13 grandsons, Jeff Berry, Matthew Stapleton, Mark Stapleton, Dan Stapleton, Shea Stuffle, Barry Andis , Ben Andis , Brent Andis , Nickolas Andis , Jeremy Brock, Cory Stapleton, Steven Stapleton and Dylan Crotts; six granddaughters, B.J. DeBusk, Haley Hensley, Tracy Gibson, Bridgett Hartnagle, Season Stuffle and Lyndsey Crotts; six great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Norman Ratliff.

The family would like to send a special "Thank You" to our friends at Brookhaven Manor for the loving kindness that was given to our "Sweet Jimbo."

Calling hours are from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Funeral Home.

Services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with George Stapleton officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Friends and family are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
