Lenora B. Davis
Lenora B. Davis, 86, of 15 W. Hurd, Edmond, died Friday, March 3, 1978, at
Edmond Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 3:30 pm Monday at the
First Christian Church, with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery. Born at Vining,
Kansas, she came to Oklahoma during the second Land Run, settling near
Kingfisher. She moved to the Edmond area as a child and has lived most of her
life here. Member of tthe First Christian Church, she was a graduate of Central
State Normal School, and was a retired school teacher, having taught in Oklahoma
City, Pauls Valley and Edmond. She was a life member of the CSU Alumni
Association. She was a deaconess and Sunday school teacher at the First
Christian Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lorene Arkeketa of
1401 Briarwood, Edmond; Mrs. Roberta Miller of New York City; and Mrs. Muriel
Stolz of Indianapolis, Indiana; ten grandchildren, including Hazel Lair, Nancy
Hendricks, Cathrine, Susan and Beverley Arkeketa, all of Edmond; great
grandchildren Becky Goff and Jesse Lair of Edmond; and two nieces, Mrs. Irma
Kennard of Kenefle, Oklahoma and Mrs. Pauline Carver of Tishomingo, Oklahoma
