BRISTOL, Tenn. – Leonard Albert Gentry, age 82, passed away Thursday,
May 17, 2007, in Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Draper, Va., and the son of the late James and Maude
Drugan Gentry. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jerry Gentry,
five brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Gentry was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air
Force. He was a former employee of Vermont American Tool Co. He was a
member of the Masonic Shelby Lodge No. 162 and a member of Rosemont
Presbyterian Church where he served as the men's Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Cleo Ogle Gentry; his daughter-in-law, Susan
Eller Gentry of Bristol Tennessee; one grandson, Bryan David Gentry of
Bristol Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Maude Gentry of Hopewell, Va.; and
four nephews and one niece.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007,
in the Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, with the Rev. R. Alan
Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
Friday at Akard Funeral Home.
