Obituary - Jennie Marie (Hobbs) Molt

J. Marie Hobbs Molt, Oct. 2, 1917 - Feb. 27, 2001, 83, New Plymouth,
went to meet her savior and join her beloved husband, Arthur, on Feb. 27, 2001,
following a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday
at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth. Burial will follow at Park
View Cemetery, New Plymouth.

Marie was born Oct. 2, 1917, at Powhattan, Kan., to Jesse Huston Hobbs
and Kathryn Emily (Munsey) Hobbs, one of eleven children. Marie married
Arthur William Molt Aug. 3, 1936. Their strong faith and loyalty carried
them through 60 years of marriage. Marie was a full-time mother and homemaker;
her love for Christ reflects in her children and grandchildren. She has
resided in Caldwell Care Center (January of 1996 to December of 1998) and
Holly Care Center (December 1998 until her passing). The family would like
to thank the staff and nurses of Caldwell Care Center and Holly Care Center
for their kindness to Marie and her family. She was loved and respected by
all that knew her.

Survivors include three children, Gladys Kochel of Sumner, Wash.,
Glenn Molt of Adrian, Ore., and Lawrence Molt of Boise, Idaho; 12
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Dickey, Betty
Puvogel, and "Tootsie" Hobbs; four brothers, Dale Hobbs, Jesse (Jr.) Hobbs,
Loren Hobbs, and Larry Hobbs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; Martin Hobbs and
Lester Hobbs; and a sister, Ida Puvogel. Memorials may be made to the
Alzheimer’s Association, the Diabetes Association, or a favorite charity,
in care of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Shaffer-Jensen Memory
Chapel, New Plymouth.
