Obituary - Marvin D Cummins

Marvin Daniel Cummins, 85, 1711 Bird Ave., died at 5:40 a.m. Monday at St. John's Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

Mr. Cummins was born April 24, 1905, in Reevesville County, Ill. He moved to Joplin from Neosho in 1965. He owned Radio Engineering Service, Neosho for more than 30 years.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a former member of the Neosho Jaycees and a former Boy Scout leader.

He married Fay Flummerfelt on June 20, 1926. She died May 23, 1967.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin Dennis Cummins, Los Angeles, and Charles Allen Cummins, Schenectady, N.Y.; two daughters, M. Denise Weinrich, Lake Ozark, and Barbara Perry, of the home; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren,

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ronald Cansler and the Rev. William Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Webb City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Brown, Fred Thomas, Loyd Givens, Tom Mann, Marvin Page and Dale Palmer.

Visitation will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home, Webb City. The casket will be closed at the funeral.
