Mildred Kaylor Potter, age 70, passed away Monday, April 06, 2009 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born on October 16, 1938 a daughter of the late Charlie Kaylor and Lille Mae Pippin Kaylor. She was a member of Ryder Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence "Eddie" Brumett; one grandson, Gregory Allen Spencer; two sisters, Geneva Dixon and Ruby Moore; three brothers, Junior Kaylor, Garland David Kaylor and Fred Kaylor.

Survivors include her husband, James H. Potter of Bluff City, TN; six daughters, Carolyn B. Thomas of Bluff City, TN; Kathy B. Akers of Dobson, NC; Sharon Spencer and husband, Harold "Punkin" Spencer of Bristol, VA; Peggy Brumett of Bristol, TN; Becky Potter of Bluff City, TN; Betty J. Lingerfelt and husband, Brian Lingerfelt of Bluff City, TN; one son, Larry W. Brumett, Sr. and wife, Joyce Brumett of Bristol, VA; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; twelve nieces and nephews; and a host friends.

Funeral services for Mildred Kaylor Potter will be conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, April 9, 2009 in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in the Nordyke Community of Mendota. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday evening at the Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon. Active pallbearers will be Robbie Thomas, Donald Akers, Mark Akers, Ryan Holbrook, Larry Brumett, Jr., Derek Lingerfelt, Jr., Teddy Lingerfelt, Brandon Oakley and Joshua Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Castle and Ronnie Blevins.
