MILDRED M. STERLING

Mrs. Mildred M. Sterling, 49, Odon Rt. 2, died at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes at 5:26 p.m. Thursday. She had been in the hospital for one week and was seriously ill for one day.

Mrs. Sterling was a member of the Baptist Church, and was a machine operator for Sarkes-Tarzan in Bloomington, Ind.

She was born Aug. 5, 1920, a daughter of Roy and Lillie (Andis) Harris, She was married to Harold Sterling Dec. 19, 1936, and he survives.

Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Betty L. Brinegar and Mrs. Karen Harris, both of Bloomington; Mrs. Barbara Sue Titus, Bloomfield; Miss Diana L. Sterling, Miss Debra G. Sterling and Miss Gloria J. Sterling, all at home; two sons, Wayne Sterling, U.S. Marine Corps, and Donald E. Sterling, at home; two brothers, William Harris, Washington, and James R. Harris, Martinsville, Ind.; and seven grandchildren.

One son preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Poindexter & Son funeral home in Odon with Rev. Flavel Fortner officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill cemetery.
