Paul Kail

Paul Kail, 80, of North Fort Myers, Fla., died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003.

Born in Elnora on Dec. 27, 1922, he was the son of Earl and Mary Scott Kail.

He attended school in Dugger and graduated from Union High School. He retired from the Federal Mogul Corporation after 43 years of service. He served in the CCC prior to enlisting into the U.S. Coast Guard; was a radio operator during World War II; president of the St. Clair Shores, Mich., Hockey League for several years; and president of the Del Tuia Golf Club. He was a 32nd Degree Mason; a life member of Revere Woods Masonic Lodge 538 of Michigan; the Eastern Star Lake Pointe East 420 of Michigan; Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis; Murat Shrine of Indianapolis; the Sullivan and Greene County Shrine Clubs; American Legion Post 224 and VFW Post 8857 in Dugger and Elks Lodge 1299 in Fort Myers, Fla. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Fort Myers.

Survivors include his son, Ken Kail, of Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Paula Kail of Greensburg and Karen Scudder of Carmel; one sister, Ruth (Mrs. Buzzy) McCammon of Dugger; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Kail.

A memorial service will take place in Dugger at a later date.
