Mr. P.H. Bowman

Pleasant Henry Bowman, son of John R. and Nancy Jane Bowman, was born in Davis County, Indiana, November 1, 1868, and passed away at Eureka, Kansas, december 6, 1943, at the age of 75 years.

Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. He came to Kansas when a yound man and has lived in Greenwood County for 53 years.

He was united in marriage to Alice Johnson, November 26, 1903. To them three children were born, Lillian, of Wichita, Kansas, Ruth Hedges, of Sacramento, California, and Harold R., who is in the Army and is stationed at Camp Cooke, California.

Mr. Bowman was a member of the United Brethern Church at Virgil, Kansas.

He leaves, beside his widow and three children, one grandson, George Edwrd Hedges, who is in the Marine Corps, Camp Pendleton, Oceansiide, California; two brothers, Raymond, of Eureka, and C.M. Bowman, of Virgil; also several nieces and nephews. He waa a kind and loving husband and father and his family always came first.

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. A.W. Johnson, was held from the Baird Funeral Home in Eureka Thursday, December 9. Interment was in the Virgil Cemetery.
