Rolland L. Webber

Rolland L. Webber, 74, Anderson, died Nov. 2, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis, after an extended illness.

He was born April 28, 1932, in Doylestown, Ohio, and resided in Anderson since 1944. He was an Anderson High School graduate.

Rolland retired in 1990 from General Motors after 38 1/2 years of employment. He served as an Indiana legislator from 1984-1998. He served his country during the Korean War as a paratrooper.

Rolland was a member of Faith Baptist Church, had been awarded two Sagamore Awards and many other distinguished awards.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty (Ball) Webber; two sons, Rick and wife Dee Webber of Anderson, and Jeff and wife Lora Webber of Anderson; sister, Madge Castor of Anderson; sisters-in-law, Nancy Webber and Judy Webber; grandchildren, Yvette and husband Karl Schmucker, Chad Webber and fiance Kristy Allen, Tennille Webber, Tylee Webber and fiance Seth Garrett, Taryn Webber and fianc? Kurt Bendes, Drew Hathaway and Mackenzie Hathaway; and great-grandchildren, Kelsey Schmucker, Chelsie Mahaffey, Jordan Allen, Kaylen Allen and Brooke Webber.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Stella (Fielder) Webber; son, Danny Keith Webber; brothers, Harold Webber and Marvin Webber; brother-in-law, Jack Castor; grandson, Brian Keith Webber; and a great-grandson, Chandler Holford.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Pastor Ken Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the South Chapel.
