Travis Wayne Koehler, of Las Vegas, born Oct. 10, 1980, in Las Vegas was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Feb. 2, 2007. His life with us was not nearly long enough, but he touched all of our lives in such a special way. He was always our hero and that was proven to everyone when he gave his life trying to save the life of a fellow co-worker in a tragic and unnecessary accident. He enjoyed family and friends and his one passion was riding his dirt bike with his brothers and friends. He prided himself on working hard and helping people any way he could. He went above and beyond which was evident in his heroism last Friday. He loved his job as an engineer at the Orleans. He had such a fun attitude and will be remembered for his passion for life and his big contagious smile. He left this world too soon, but walked into eternity and the loving arms of Jesus.

Travis is survived by his mother, Debi Fergen and her husband, Peter; father, Robert Koehler Jr. and fiance, Shannan Dunlap; the love of his life and fiance, Krystle Johnson; brothers, Bobby and Brandon; nephew, Landon; grandparents, Duane (Papa) Hufford and wife, Betty, Margaret Corta and husband, Poppa Mike, Robert Koehler Sr. and wife, Carol; Aunt BJ and Uncle, Ray; cousins, Rianna and Justin; step siblings, Kristopher and Tanya Fergen; his Best Bud, Chopper, his dog; and so many more friends than can be listed.
