NORTON — Velma Geneva Montonye, 94, died Friday, July 23, 2004, at the Andbe Home.
She was born Oct. 14, 2004, in Almena to Hiram and Carrie Grose.
She married Johnie Lewis Montonye on Aug. 15, 1928, in Phillipsburg. He died April 5, 1988. They farmed in the Almena area before moving to Norton in the 1980s.
Survivors include a daughter, Neta Jean Campbell, Norton; a sister, Genola Campbell, Norton; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Enfield Funeral Home, Norton; burial in Norton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Enfield Funeral Home, Norton.
Memorials are suggested to the Andbe Home, Norton.

Montonye was born Velma Geneva Grose on Oct. 14, 1909, in Almena. She was a
homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Lewis Montonye, in
1988. Survivors include a daughter, Neta Jean Campbell and husband Bill of
Norton; a sister, Genola Campbell of Norton; two sisters-in-law, Opal Mintzmyer
of Norton and Louise Montonye of Phillipsburg; two grandchildren, Glen Campbell
and Nancy Hager and husband Craig, all of Norton; and four great-grandchildren,
Kurtis and Sara Campbell and Austin and Adrienne Hager. The funeral will be at
10 a.m. Tuesday at Enfield Funeral Home, 215 W. Main, Norton 67654. Burial will
be in Norton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Andbe Home, Norton.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
