Obituary - Verdella Hattie (Andis) Estep

KINGSPORT - Verdella Andis Estep , 97, went to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness at her home on Aug. 18, 2004.

Mrs. Estep was born in Ocoonita, Va. and had lived most of her life in Kingsport. She was a member of Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl S. Estep ; parents, Robert P. and Mina Smith Andis; and a son-in-law, James A. Callahan.

Surviving are three daughters, Johnnie E. Callahan, Baton Rouge, La., Ella Sue Geer and husband Richard, Mishawaka, In., and Nancy E. Wells and husband Hubert, Church Hill; two sons, David A. Estep and wife Lari Aynne, Lafayette, In., and William R. Estep , Kingsport.

Calling hours are from 11 a.m. to 12 noon today at Oak Hill Funeral Home.

Services will be conducted at 12 noon today in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Hambrick officiating.

Graveside services will follow in the Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
