Wayne L. Vanhook

Wayne Leonard Vanhook, 83, of Bristol Tennessee, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003,
at Bristol Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mr. Vanhook was employed by Wallace Oldsmobile of Bristol for many years. He was
a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Blountville.

Mr. Vanhook is survived by his wife of 62 years, Illa Elizabeth Lane Vanhook;
two sons, Richard and his wife Olivia, of Miami, Fla., and Russell and his wife
Lisa of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one daughter, Tobye and husband Jim Saul of
Kernersville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Heather, Amy and Christopher; four
great-grandchildren; a special niece, Jan; nephew, Ken; great-niece, Stephenie
Maiden; and a special care giver, Pam Manuel.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 20, 2003, at First Baptist
Church of Blountville at 7 p.m. with Rev. Clay Austin officiating. The family
will receive friends after the funeral service at the church. Graveside service
will be held 11 a.m. Friday in Shelby Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make
memorials to the building fund of First Baptist Church of Blountville.

Wayne Leonard Vanhook, 83, of Bristol Tennessee, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003,
at Bristol Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mr. Vanhook was employed by Wallace Oldsmobile of Bristol for many years. He was

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Blountville.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 20, 2003, at First Baptist
Church of Blountville at 7 p.m. with Rev. Clay Austin officiating. Pallbearers
will be Jeff Morris, Jim Morris, Ben Morris, Kenny Maiden, Anthony Smith and
Steve Woody. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School
Class. The family will receive friends after the funeral service at the church.
Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in Glenwood Cemetery Mausoleum
Chapel with military rites by Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975. Burial will be in
Shelby Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorials to the building fund of
First Baptist Church of Blountville.
