BREWER, WOODROW MACK "WOODY" Woodrow Mack "Woody" Brewer, 60, a resident of 14368 Smith Creek Road, Bristol, Va., died Friday, May 11, 2001, at his residence. He was a native of Scott County, Va., and a lifelong resident of the Smith Creek Community near Abingdon and Bristol. He was an employee of Bristol Compressors. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Clint Baxter Brewer and the late Nancy Kay Bessie Sorah Brewer; a son, the late Jeremy Glenn (Roho) Brewer; a sister, the late Virgie Brewer; and a brother, the late Walker Brewer. Survivors include his wife, Daisy E. Brewer of Bristol, Va.; one son, Woodrow Lee (Rooster) Brewer of Bristol, Va.; two sisters, Nellie Hall of Abingdon and Mary Vinyard of Hiltons, Va.; three brothers, Tom Brewer and Roy Brewer, both of Abingdon, and Fred Brewer of Bristol, Va.; three grandchildren; 12 nieces; and 11 nephews. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Campbell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Widner and the Rev. Larry (P. T.) Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Zeke Harton, Josh Harton, B.J. Harton, Eddie Callahan, Don Jones and Dub Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be G.H. Andis, Earl Cox, Bobby Andis, Don Wright, Jim Gregory and Paul Brewer. The family will receive friends at Campbell Funeral Home in Abingdon from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening. Campbell Funeral Home of Abingdon is in charge of arrangements.
