Obituary - Alfred Tennyson Hobbs Jr
Alfred Tennyson Hobbs Jr. Alfred Tennyson Hobbs Jr. , loving husband of
Beverly Thomas Hobbs and the son of Alfred and Eleanor Hobbs, passed away
Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was
a singer, songwriter and guitarist for the band The Deap Sea Surfers. Alfred
was the proprietor of the 7th Street Bar, Bristol, Tenn. and an active in
the Tennessee and New York music scene. He served in the U.S. Navy. A
memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at
Akard Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.,
prior to the service. Akard Funeral Home, 1912 W. State St., Bristol,
TN (423) 989-4800 is serving the family of Mr. Hobbs.
