Obituary - Benjamin Franklin Gallagher Jr

Benjamin Franklin Gallagher, Jr., of Hanover, departed this life November 13, 2008. 

He was the son of the late Benjamin and Grace Gallagher. 

Benjamin was a member of St. David's Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was a member of the choir and was part of the church council. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling. Benjamin gave 21 years of service to the U.S. Army. He retired in 1969 as CSM and served in Vietnam. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. After retiring from the Army, he worked for 18 years at New Way Packaging and at Faulkner Pontiac, GMAC.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lea Gallagher; two sons, Dan and wife, Diane Gallagher, and Gene and wife, Chris Gallagher; six grandchildren; three sisters, Helena Moore, Ruth Keilholtz, and Catherine Philips; and brother, Bill Gallagher.

In addition to his parents, son, Thomas, and brothers, Clarence, John, Paul, and Albert Gallagher preceded him in death.
