BRIDGEPORT, Ill. -- Betty Hoopingarner, 66, of Alamo, Texas, died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at the McAllen Medical Center in Texas from complication of chemotherapy for leukemia. 

She had operated Hoopy's R.V. Park in Alamo. 

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Bridgeport. 

Surviving are three daughters, Karen Munoz of Alamo, Brenda Labhart of Jasper, Ind., and Cyndi Cantu of Huntingburg, Ind.; two sons, Edward of Effingham and Jimmie of Lewisville, Ind.; a stepson, Loren Hoopingarner of Alamo; her mother, Vera Pauline Walls of Lawrenceville; a sister, Alice Bernice Gossett of Bridgeport; a brother, John A. Walls of Terre Haute, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. 

Her husband, James, died in 1985. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cunningham Funeral Home, with burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Clairmont. 

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a rosary service at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
