Billie Ann Nail, 76, of Shawnee, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, St. Anthony Hospital, Oklahoma City.

She was born Feb. 1, 1935, in Konawa, the daughter of Andrew and Martha (Cowger) Sweatt.

She graduated from Konawa High School.

On April 30, 1953, she married James Nail. She worked as a housewife and homemaker for many years. Billie was very active in Faith Assembly as well as the Hart Street Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 15 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include three children, Judy Davis of Tecumseh, Jimmy Nail and wife, Evelyn, of Shawnee, and Jerry Nail and wife, Terri, of Pauls Valley; three grandchildren, James Nail and wife, April, of Wayne, Jerry Nail Jr. and wife, Jami, of Shawnee, and Jaime Davis of Tecumseh; five great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jordan, Jessica, Megan, and Joshua; one sister, Jo Akerman of Konawa; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.


Services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Kurt Beauford and Jessie Francis officiating. Burial will be at Wanette Cemetery.
