Billy Troy Richison, 60, of Lafayette , Louisiana, passed from this life on July 14, 2019, in Lafayette after a long struggle with cancer. He was born January 29, 1959 in Newport, Rhode Island to the union of Billy Junior and Georgia Jean Hadley Richison.

Billy married the love of his life, Linda Gail Moreau on September 22, 1979 in Lafayette, LA. Four children were born to this union.

Billy worked as a cross country truck driver for many years until he was forced to leave that occupation due to illness. He loved history and hunting. He had the most wonderful sense of humor and could be quite a prankster. Billy was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. His love for his family knew no boundaries.

Billy had a very strong sense of what being an American is and all the rights and privileges that comes with being an American. He was an avid advocate for our 2nd amendment rights and had a great love of his country. Billy was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, parents (Georgia Jean Hadley Richison and Billy Junior Richison), his step mother (Dorothy Wooster Richison), two step-sisters (Theresa Johnson and Sharon Lirette) and a granddaughter (Anissa Carrie Langner).

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Gail Moreau Richison; a daughter, Rosanna Leon and her spouse Jimmy; three sons: Billy L. Richison and his spouse Lacey, Troy Richison, Joshua Richison and his spouse Lauren. He is survived by seven grandchildren: Christian Langner, Genysis Langner, Jax Richison, Erik Leon, Emily Richison, Miah Richison, Richard Langner Jr all of Lafayette; a sister, Chiquita Richison Thompson and her spouse Charlie of Jena, La; a step-brother, Kenneth Johnson and his spouse Debra of Windsor, Missouri; a step-sister, Brenda Parsons of Rolla, Missouri; and also a host of beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Billy is being cremated and there will be a celebration of his life in the very near future.
