Charles Wiley Hutton, 82, passed away May 14, 2012, at Bristol Regional Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born Oct. 10, 1929, to the late Wiley J. Hutton and Nellie R. Hutton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ann H. Edwards and Ruby H. Yeatts; and brothers, Paul J. Hutton and Fred R. Hutton. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elena Lowry Hutton; two sons, Charles W. Hutton Jr. (Charlie) of LaQuinta, Calif. and Mark Lowry Hutton of Abingdon; two sisters, Grace H. Kiser of Abingdon and Betty H. Martin and husband, Bobby, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one brother, Don Hutton of Bristol; one brother-in-law, Bobby Lowry and wife, Annie C., of Abingdon; four sisters-in-law, Jewell Hutton and Ruth Hutton of Bristol, Tenn., Mary Jane Lowry Crosby and Susan Lowry of Abingdon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hutton served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Germany. He graduated from National Business College in Roanoke. He worked as a draftsman for Beeson & Beeson Architects for 52 years. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Washington Life Saving Crew, the Johnston Memorial Hospital ER Staff, and the Bristol Regional Medical Center CVICU Staff for the kind and excellent care that was given to both Mr. Hutton and his family.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Frost Funeral Home, Abingdon, with a funeral service following visitation with the Rev. Jon Martin officiating. Burial will be on Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the Sinking Spring Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the burial are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Day, Tommy Deaton, Dr. Bruce Higinbothom, Bobby Hutton and Ronnie McCroskey.
