Clayton DeWayne Myers, 93, former resident of Bartlesville, passed from this life, Saturday October 13, 2012 at the Highland Park Nursing Home in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Funeral services 2:00 P.M., Thursday October 18, 2012 in the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Wallace Thames officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the James H. Teel Post 105 of the American Legion. Funeral services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Clayton DeWayne Myers was born on November 29, 1918 at Dover, Arkansas. He was the son of William Lewis Myers and Sally Lois (Pitts) Myers. He was raised and attended school in Bartlesville. He married Carol Elizabeth Engleking on September 7th, 1937 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. They were married 73 years. Clayton Dewayne Myers served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After being discharged from the Navy he worked as an instrument maker in the research and development department at Phillips Petroleum Company for 40 years. In his leisure time he enjoyed building and repairing antique clocks. He also enjoyed serving the Lord at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church.

Clayton DeWayne Myers was preceded in death by his wife Carol, a brother Bill and a sister Louise. He is survived by his two sons, Lonnie Wayne Myers of Morris, Oklahoma and Gary Dee Myers of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, A brother Don Myers of Conroe, Texas, and a sister Inez Gregory of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
