David Major Obituary
David H. Major, age 58, of Maumelle, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Millikin University and a master’s
degree from Stephen F. Austin University. Mr. Major was an instructor for
the Arkansas State University and worked part-time for Target. He was a
member of the First United Methodist Church of Maumelle and was a First
Lieutenant in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed reading and
working crossword puzzles. He took great pride in educating the minds of our
future.
He was a devoted familyman to his wife, Pamela Sims Major; son, Scott David
Major and his wife, Lynne, of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Krista Leenell
Major and her fiance, Floyd Adams, of Rock Falls, Illinois; parents, Hugh
David and Marie Major of Watertown, Wisconsin; two sisters, Sandra Major of
Watertown, Wisconsin, and Carol Blackledge and her husband, Bill, of Mesa,
Arizona; and grandchildren, Connor, Cassandra, J.T., Camille, Madison, and
Austin.

A gathering in remembrance of Mr. Major will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March
29, 2003 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey &Roth Custom Funerals &
Cremations, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock, 661-9111. Visitation will be
prior to the service beginning at 2:30 p.m.
