Obituary - Don David Martin

Feb. 2, 1931 - Sept. 24, 2013 JONES Don David Martin, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. He was born February 2, 1931 in Prague, OK to Hugo and Eunice Newton Martin. 

He was a graduate of Prague High School and served in the US Air Force during The Korean War. He lived most of his adult life in Oklahoma City with his wife Virginia where he was a brick mason and owned Don Martin Construction Company for 33 years. He moved to Eufaula, OK in the early 90's where he built his final home. Don's last brick job was at The Oakridge Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for several years. He later became a member and Chairman of the Deacons at Vivian Baptist Church where he faithfully served until his death. 

Survivors include his daughter Carolyn Kelley and husband Richard of San Jose, CA, son Tim Martin and wife Crystal of Jones, OK, 4 grandchildren Coby Smith and Andrew Kelley of California, Ashley Mauldin and Payton Martin and one great-grandchild of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rosemary; three brothers, Hugo (J.R.), Harold and Cecil; his wife Virginia Martin; and his grandson Thaddaeus Martin. 

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday September 28, 2013 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Edmond.
