Dora Laurene DeArmond, 84, passed away November 19, 2014 at the Pioneer Lodge in Coldwater, KS, surrounded by her husband, daughters, and grandchildren.

She was born November 14, 1930 to Arthur J. and Adele (Durham) Bowhay in Blackwell, OK. On August 28, 1948, she married Harry Lee DeArmond at Cherokee, OK. She was seventeen and he was nineteen. They celebrated 66 years of marriage this August.

To this marriage two daughters were born: Deborah Arlene Burkes of Coldwater, KS and Rhonda Kay (Dennis) Daniel of Coldwater, KS; five grandchildren: Darren Alan Burkes of Protection, Darci Arhon Burkes of Coldwater, Angela Dawn (Richard) Steiner of Winfield, Justin Lee (Andrea) Bailey of Coldwater, and Mindy Renee (Ethan) Burris of Parsons; seventeen great-grandchildren: Rebekah Eden (William) Bookout of Fairview, OK, Terren Levi Burkes of Coldwater, DaLoryn Alawna Burkes of Canon City, CO, Harlee Laurene Burkes of Coldwater, Karissa Arlene Burkes and Haydyn Lee Burkes of Enid, OK, Jimmy Lee (Kelsey) Naasz, Ashley Amber Naasz, Sean Michael Peirce, Alannah Steiner, William Steiner, Solomon Steiner all of Winfield, Dalton Lee Bailey and Kaisyn Ross Girk of Coldwater, KS, Christopher Michael Nicola, Madison Kay Pontious, and Jase Kyle Burris all of Parsons; two great-great-grandchildren: Addyleigh Ann Naasz of Winfield and Sebastian Lee Bookout of Fairview; and two brothers: Carl W. (Bobbie) Bowhay of Red Oak, TX and Royal V. Bowhay of Salisaw, OK.

She was welcomed in heaven by her parents, four brothers: George, Gene, Joe, and Leslie Bowhay; two sisters: Carole Janine Lewis and Arvilla Rose Hammond; and many more family and friends. 

Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service at a later date.
