Dorothy Marie SHADE Wayman (1915 - 2007)

Dorothy Marie Wayman, 92, Seymour, passed away at 4:55 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, with her daughter by her side.
Mrs. Wayman was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, in Seymour, where she was very active with the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school. As she loved to sing they would call her the "Song Bird" at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.
Born in Jackson County, on Dec. 18, 1915, she was the daughter of Martin and Ida M. Deppert Shade, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 23, 1939, she married James Delbert Wayman, Sr., who preceded in death on April 17, 1987.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia J. (Robert) Oliger; grandchildren, K. Chris Oliger, Debra M. Messer, Brian R. (Miala) Oliger, Brent (Krista) Wayman, Jill Wayman, Todd W. Wayman and Scott (Connie) Wayman; 12-great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren, and one sister, Betty Barger Bode.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James Delbert Wayman Jr., and Jackie Don Wayman; two brothers, Clarence and Kenny Shade; four sisters, Alberta Nentrup, Marietta Nieman, Katherine Waggoner and Melba Board; one infant sister, Joann Shade and one infant brother.
Pastor Andrew Currao will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Voss Chapel in Seymour and from noon until time of service Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be given to Redeemer Lutheran Church through Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
