Obituary - Edna Mae (Kaylor) Bishop

Kingsport —  Edna  Mae Kaylor  Bishop , 90, passed away Saturday, (Dec. 22, 2007) at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice in Knoxville, Tenn.
 
Mrs.  Bishop  was a member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church and helped in the church kitchen after her retirement from J.C. Penney’s. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs.  Bishop  was active in both the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, when her children were young. She loved working on her family genealogy, quilting, writing, and tending to her roses, but most of all she loved her family.
 
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ezra H.  Bishop ; her parents, Coy and Kate Kaylor; brothers, W. Ray “Bill” Kaylor, Ralph Kaylor, and Roy Kaylor.
 
She is survived by her children and their spouses, David and Teresa  Bishop  of Monroe Ga., Jean and Ken Lund of Knoxville, Tenn., Daryl and Susan  Bishop  of Fayetteville, Ga.; grandchildren, Stacy  Bishop  Jones and husband, David, Jonathan  Bishop  and wife, Kacy, Holly  Bishop  Chalmers and husband, Jeff, Valerie  Bishop  Leathers and husband, Clay, Michael Lund and wife, LeaAnn, Erin Lund, Brittany  Bishop  and Megan  Bishop ; seven great-grandchildren; brother, James Kaylor of Corpus Christi, Tex.; sisters, Ruby Kitzmiller of Kingsport and Tommie Fannon of Suwannee, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
 
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Carl Strickler officiating.
 
Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery.
