CLINCHPORT, Va. -  Edna  Mae  Kaylor , 85, Route 3, departed this life Thursday morning (Aug. 24, 2000) at Holston Valley Medical Center. A native of Scott County, Va., she was a homemaker and a charter member of Kaylors Chapel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Lelia Wade Taylor; brothers, Earl Taylor, Ottis Taylor, Claude Taylor and Carl (Buster) Taylor. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Ray W. (Bill)  Kaylor , Clinchport, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Joann) Bowen, Duffield, Va.; sons, Donald Paul and wife, Roseanne  Kaylor , Chattanooga, Tenn., and Robert Wayne (Bob) and Martha  Kaylor , Roanoke, Texas; grandchildren, Kendall  Kaylor  and wife, Beth, Chattanooga, Tenn., Mark (Tony) Bowen, Menifee, Calif., Terry Robert  Kaylor , Kingsport, Brian C. and David A.  Kaylor , Roanoke, Texas, Lynn (Bowen) and David Kistner, Kingsport, Sharon (Bowen) and Charlie Alvis, Kingsport, Kelli  Kaylor , Chattanooga, Tenn., and Dawn  Kaylor , Michigan; great-grandchildren, Eli Kistner, Brandi and Jennifer Alvis, Lauren and Rachel Bowen; sisters, Mrs. Gladys Gaines, Gate City, Va., Mrs. Edith Bishop, Kingsport and Mrs. Mary Alice Quillen, Gate City, Va.; very special sisters-in-law,  Edna  Mae Bishop, Ruby Kitzmiller and Dallas Taylor; brothers, Hobert Taylor, Clinchport, Va., and Kelly Taylor, Colonial Heights; special friends, Thelma DeBoard, Ellen Collier, Sue Vaughn, Betty Kerns, Charlotte Berry, Christine Love, Enga Stanley and Tina Rhoton.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, Va., and anytime at the residence. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kaylors Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Kerns and the Rev. Bobby Rhoton officiating. Music will be by Kaylors Chapel Choir. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Holston View Cemetery. Deacons of Kaylors Chapel will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Hunter.
