Obituary - Eldon Henry "Hank" Putzier

ANTHON, Iowa -- Eldon "Hank" Putzier Sr., 67, of Anthon died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at his residence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Anthon, with the Rev. Thomas Sabel officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Eldon Henry "Hank" Putzier Sr. was born Aug. 20, 1935, near Cushing, Iowa, the son of Elvin and Mamie (Rohwedder) Putzier.
In June 1957, he married Sharon Heath of Correctionville, Iowa. He married Marian Peltier in February 1990, in Texas.
He worked in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator. He was most recently employed with Mathers Construction of Correctionville. Prior to that, he enjoyed farming for Don Hennings of Moville, Iowa.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Anthon. He enjoyed any outdoor activity including, hunting and fishing. He also liked to play cards, but most of all he found pleasure in spending quality time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; three sons, Donald "Hoss" Putzier and his wife, Cindy, of Pea Ridge, Ark., Dale Putzier and his fiancee, Sandy Holmes, of Wilton, Calif., and Dennis Putzier and his wife, Michelle, of Sioux City; a stepson and his wife, Robert and Lynle Presley of Rogers, Ark.; four daughters, Debra and her husband, Chris Fegenbush, Tina and her husband, Douglas Young, and Krystal and her husband, Douglas Gough, all of Sioux City, and Kandi Putzier of Lawton, Iowa; three stepdaughters, Tina and her husband, Dwain Coleman, of Boles, Ark., Brenda Presley and her fiance, John Gustafson, of Rogers, Ark., and Teresa Presley and her fiance, Kevin Artman, of Bentonville, Ark.; two brothers and three sisters, Frank and Bonnie Putzier and Fritz and Sis Putzier, all of Anthon, Evelyn Livermore of Lynchburg, Mo., Helen Fundermann of Battle Creek, Iowa, and Tootie and Ed Lapko of North Edwards, Calif.; 37 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and
nephews, and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Eldon "Bud" Putzier Jr. and David Putzier; a son-in-law, Darlo A. Mitchell; a great-granddaughter, Natallie McNelly; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Livermore and John Fundermann.
