Obituary - Ella Artie (Snow) Trout

Ella Artie Snow Trout, 85, was born December 11, 1916, to Joseph and Zella (McKee) Snow in the Licking area.

Artie was one of 10 children. She passed away February 5, 2002, at Licking Park Manor.

She was united in marriage October 19, 1930, to Nelson Lee Trout and to this union two sons were born. Artie is survived by son Benjamin Franklin and wife Velma of Licking and Jerry Lee and wife Betty of Beulah. She is also survived by three grandsons and two granddaughters; one step-daughter, Gertie Mathis of Edgar Springs, one step-daughter-in-law, Ethel Trout of Edgar Springs; six step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Snow of Licking; one sister, Rosie Jackson of Houston and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Artie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee, one granddaughter Treasa, one brother, five sisters, one step-Son, Charlies Trout, one step-son-in-law, Lawrence Mathis.

Artie was a homemaker until the death of her husband at which time she started working at Gladys Wards' restaurant and then at Rawlings where she acquired many friends.

Artie accepted the Lord as her Savior April 18, 1965, at the Big Piney River near the Old Ross Bridge.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing and being around her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Services were held February 7, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Fox Chapel with Rev. Everett Perkins officiating.
Pallbearers were: Roger Trout, Kenny Trout, Donald Trout, Kenny Tripp, Fred Mathis and Josh Tripp. Honorary Pallbearers were: Ethan Ullom, Alan Haneline and Marshall Miller. Interment was in the Trout Cemetery under direction of Fox Funeral Home of Licking.
