Obituary - Emelia (Schmidt) Schwalm
Mrs Emelia Roeder Schwalm,86, of Norton , died at the Moose Rest
Home in Araphoe, friday.
The coutrney- Eckhart Funeral Home of Almena announced funeral
services are pending.
Mrs Schwalm had been at the Andbe home for some time before moving to the
Moose Rest Home recently.
She was born May2,1877 at Indianapolis, Ind, daughter of William and anna
Meier Schmidt. Her first husband , John F Roeder, died in 1943 and her
second husbandf, William Schwalm, died in 1962.
She is survived by three sons and four daughters . The sons are Robert
Roeder of Norton, Walter Roeder of Almena,and Irvin Roeder of Norton.
The daughters are Mrs. Esther Bundy of Beaver City, Ne.; Mrs Hulda Wynn and
Mrs. Lucille Davis of Prarie View, and Mrs Eunice Eickbush of Cheyenne, Wyo.
She was preceeded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Roeder, who died in
1929.
also surviving are three brother, frederick William Schmidt of Denver, and
Alfred and Jess Schmidt of Fleming, Colo. and two sisters Mrs Esther Reike
of Padroni, Colo and Mrs Anna Parr of Woodard, Okla, and by 17 grandchildren
and 28 great grandchildren and 14 neices and nephews. She was preceeded by
two sisters.
